You see these boats all over the Li River but this is bigger then most. Those are just bamboo logs tied together. This must be a water taxi.
This was a very ancient way to fish and they are still doing it here in Guilin. These birds are cormorants and they tie something around the birds throat so it can't swallow the fish they catch. They dive in the water and catch a fish and then the fisherman takes them away.
